T O P I C R E V I E WJBoeI recently purchased a small shuttle model that appears to be without the external tank and SRBs, but the model is really yellowed from age. Is there any way to restore it to a more brighter condition without damaging the decals? Thanks!dsenechalWithout seeing the model it's difficult to tell how it was finished, but many models have a clear coat applied after the decals are affixed. If that is the case, try a product called Flitz. It is a super-fine polishing compound. If the yellowing is a surface discoloration of the clear coat, that should help. If there is not a clear coat, carefully cleaning the model with a soft wet cloth and mild hand soap may help. If the yellow is actually in the paint itself, you may have to live with it. I'd recommend not using Flitz or any other polishing compound if the model is not clear coated, and especially not on exposed decals. Good luck.
